There is a reason that that call Atlanta Georgia Hotlanta, and I found out all about it when I took a business trip down there last week. The temperature had to be somewhere around 110 degrees with almost 100% humidity! My only saving grace was that I went to a car rental in Atlanta and got an SUV with the most arctic air conditioning unit that they had. I can tell you what, if I had to be out in that heat trying to flag down a cab or wait for the bus it would have probably been one of the worst trips I had ever taken, but instead it was one of the best trips I have ever taken.
The other reason that going to a car rental in Atlanta is that there is so much cool stuff to see that you are never going to even scratch the surface if you don’t have your own mode of transportation to get around. With the car I rented I got to hit up every place I had wanted to hit up, from the world famous Atlanta Zoo to the National Museum of Patriotism. I even got a little outside of the city and got to see the Black Rock Mountain National Forest. I would never have been able to see most of this stuff if I didn’t have my own car or would have had to pay tons of money just to get there otherwise.
The rental agency I went with was Enterprise, and I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs a car rental in Atlanta. They treated me like a human being and I was in and out of the joint with a sweet SUV in about 20 minutes. Not too shabby!
